12-DAY THERAPY DELIVERED THROUGH A SINGLE DEVICE

Accel-Heal’s 12-day electrical stimulation therapy can now be delivered in two different formats. The original Accel-Heal therapy delivers the 12-day programme through the consecutive use of six 48-hour devices. Accel-Heal Solo delivers the full 12-day therapy through a single device, offering significant benefits in terms of ease of use and simplicity for clinicians, carers and patients alike.

While the 12-day programme of electrical stimulation is identical, the use of a single device ensures a more regulated and controlled delivery of the therapy and enables more patients to benefit from the therapy.

Additional benefits of Accel-Heal Solo include an improved user interface which provides a clear indication of device operating status. Longer wires and an optional clip and strap also enable easier placement and facilitate the treatment of larger wounds and wounds in hard-to-reach areas.

HOW TO USE ACCEL-HEAL SOLO

ALWAYS REFER TO THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE BEFORE APPLYING ACCEL-HEAL SOLO.
  1. The 12-day treatment begins by applying two of the electrode pads provided to the skin near the wound. These are then connected to the Accel-Heal Solo device which is activated by pressing and holding a simple button for two seconds.
  2. Once it is activated, the Accel-Heal Solo device automatically deliversthe programme of electrical stimulation. The device indicates that an electrical circuit has been established by a green LED light flashing once every two seconds.
  3. If it is not possible to establish an electrical circuit, the LED light flashes orange rapidly (twice per second). This may be a result of the electrodes either becoming detached or being poorly adhered to the skin. In this case, the electrode pads should be checked to ensure they are connected and well-adhered to the skin and, if necessary, replaced with new electrodes.
  4. The device can either be tucked into an external dressing or bandage, or held in place using the strap and clip provided. If for any reason the device needs to be removed (for example, for bathing), it is possible to pause the treatment for 2 hours by detaching the device from the electrode pads and pressing the button again for two seconds. The LED will flash orange once every two seconds to indicate the device is in the pause mode. Once the device is re-attached, it can be restarted by pressing the button again for two seconds.
